
Hooghly, 13 April (H.S.): Achchelal Yadav, former chief of Kanaipur Panchayat, withdrew his nomination on Monday from the Uttarpara Assembly constituency, where he had filed as an independent candidate. His decision has sparked discussions in local political circles.
After withdrawing his nomination, Yadav issued a statement explaining the reason behind his move. He said that he respected the wishes of the common people of Uttarpara and decided to step back to ensure that their valuable votes are not divided or wasted, potentially benefiting any particular political party.
In his message, he stated, “I received requests from many residents of Uttarpara to ensure that their valuable votes are not split in a way that could give undue advantage to any one party. Respecting the sentiments of the people, I have decided to withdraw my nomination.”
He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported and stood by him, acknowledging the love and cooperation he received during his campaign.
Yadav further expressed hope that people would continue to support him in the future and urged everyone to stay safe and healthy. He assured that he would remain connected with the people and continue to stand by them.
