
Jammu, 13 April (H.S.): Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, today visited the strategic Rampur Sector in Jammu to evaluate the local security situation and the strength of the counter-terrorism grid.
During his visit, the Army Commander met with senior officials from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the CRPF, and other security agencies to discuss current challenges and ways to improve the collective defense of the region.
Lt Gen Sharma stressed that achieving a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir depends on the forces working as a single, unified team.
He called for better intelligence sharing and seamless cooperation between the military and paramilitary forces to ensure an effective response to emerging threats.
While praising the security personnel for their ongoing dedication to maintaining peace, the Commander urged them to remain vigilant and keep their operational synergy sharp to thwart any attempts at instability.
