New Delhi, 13 April (H.S.):

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta assured on Monday, that domestic and commercial LPG supplies remain fully stable, ample, and under control across the capital, with no shortages of LPG or other fuels.

On April 12, 111,766 bookings were logged versus 130,094 cylinders delivered by three oil marketing companies—exceeding demand and clearing backlogs swiftly. Average delivery time has improved to 3.87 days from 4.24, ensuring prompt doorstep service.

Daily allocation stands at 6,480 commercial cylinders against a weekly average consumption of 4,268—including 5-kg free trade LPG—confirming surplus availability.

Gupta appealed to commercial users, especially 5-kg cylinder holders, to shun panic hoarding. For issues, contact the Food & Civil Supplies Control Room at 011-23379836 or 8383824659 (9 AM–7 PM daily). She promoted piped natural gas (PNG) adoption for institutions like hospitals and schools, alongside electric/induction cooking for long-term reliability.
