Dehradun, 11 April (H.S.):

Devotees' fervour for the upcoming Char Dham Yatra-2026 in Uttarakhand has hit fever pitch, with a staggering 14,54,897 pilgrims registering so far for the Char Dham and Hemkunt Sahib circuits—Kedarnath Dham topping the list.

Tourism Department data as of Friday evening reveals 4,95,173 registrations for Kedarnath, followed by Badrinath (4,29,416), Gangotri (2,62,485), and Yamunotri (2,55,609). Hemkunt Sahib has drawn 12,214 sign-ups.

No new offline registrations were recorded today at centres in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Newagaon, Herbertpur, and Rishikesh Transit Camp; these resume April 17. Online bookings, ongoing since March 6, continue unabated.

The yatra timeline unfolds thus: Gangotri and Yamunotri portals open April 19, Kedarnath on April 22, and Badrinath on April 23.

State authorities and the Tourism Department are gearing up for seamless, secure, pilgrim-centric arrangements—fortifying routes, health services, security, and registration systems to accommodate hordes from India and abroad.

Pilgrims can register via the official portal registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in, “Tourist Care Uttarakhand” app, helplines 1364 or 0135-3520100. IRCTC’s site handles Kedarnath and Hemkunt Sahib heli-tickets.
