Tengnoupal (Manipur), 05 March (HS): Security forces intercepted a four-wheeler and seized a substantial quantity of suspected narcotic substances during a naka checking at Tengnoupal Police Station under Tengnoupal district of Manipur on Wednesday.

According to official sources on Thursday, a Thar vehicle bearing registration number MN 01 AW 8063 was stopped at the naka check post for routine inspection. During thorough checking of the vehicle, security personnel recovered and seized 2.33 kilograms of WY tablets and 0.592 kilograms of brown sugar concealed inside the vehicle.

In addition to the narcotic substances, one mobile phone, an Aadhaar card and the registration certificate (RC) of the vehicle were also recovered from the possession of the occupants.

The seized items have been taken into custody and further investigation into the matter is currently underway, officials said.-----------
