Lucknow,

05 March (HS): Due to the disruption of airspace over the Gulf countries and

the temporary closure of Dubai airspace, couriers for Moradabad district

exporters have been affected. Approximately 350 handicraft samples destined for

the United States, Germany, and the Middle East are stranded at Dubai Airport.

Due to the disruption of airspace over the Gulf countries and the temporary

closure of airspace, couriers for the district's exporters are unable to reach

the United States and Middle East countries. Samples destined for the United

States and Middle East countries are stuck at Dubai Airport, further

exacerbating the problems for exporters.

Exporters

reported that several courier companies reported that Middle East airspace was

disrupted, resulting in delayed delivery. Samples of handicraft products are

airlifted to buyers in the United States, Germany, and Middle East countries

for orders. After receiving the samples, buyers confirm the orders. However, it

will now take longer for exporters to receive their orders. Dubai airspace is

closed due to the Israel-Iran war. As a result, 350 couriers carrying samples

of handicraft products are stranded at Dubai Airport.

It

was supposed to be delivered to the Middle East and the United States within

three days. But now it will arrive in these countries late. Many exporters in

the city say that due to the airspace closure, couriers will not be able to

travel to the United States via Dubai. Satpal, secretary of the Handicraft

Exporters Association, said that due to the war, samples and orders are not

being sent.

Because

Dubai airspace has been closed, ship traffic has been halted. JP Singh,

Chairman of YES, said that companies are reporting delayed courier arrivals due

to the closure of Dubai airspace. More than 500 couriers of handicraft products

are sent from the district every day.

According

to courier companies in the district, more than 500 couriers carrying

handicraft products are sent abroad every day. Around 250 couriers are sent via

Dubai to countries in the Middle East, including the United States. The closure

of Dubai's airspace has now impacted courier services.

A

provision has been made to send couriers via other routes, including Dubai.

This is likely to increase the cost of couriers. Officials at some courier

companies stated that various air routes are being used to send couriers to

other countries, including the United States and Germany.
