05 March (HS): Two young men riding a motorcycle died in a road accident on
Wednesday night in the Tharwai police station area of Prayagraj district,
Uttar Pradesh. The two men were visiting relatives for Holi. Police arrived on
the scene and took the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem.
According to police, a speeding motorcycle lost control and collided with a
road divider near Mansaita village in the Tharwai police station area late
Wednesday night. The impact was so severe that both riders were seriously
injured. The injured were rushed to the hospital with the help of locals, where
doctors declared them dead. The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old
Manoj Kumar Gautam, a resident of Rudapur in the Phaphamau police station area,
and 25-year-old Rahul Kumar Gautam, a resident of Chandapur. It is reported
that the two men were traveling to a relative's house for Holi.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Kuldeep Singh Gunawat stated that the accident
occurred when the bike collided with a divider, resulting in the deaths. The
bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and further legal
proceedings are underway.
