Hooghly, 31 March (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Hemant Bag began his outreach campaign in the Arambagh Assembly constituency by offering prayers at the Krishna temple in Paishara under Gaurhati No. 1 panchayat.

He later visited several villages, including Kharol, Paishara, Gouri Gram and Shubhaypur, interacting with local residents as part of his campaign.

In Kharol village, women welcomed the BJP candidate warmly by offering sweets, garlanding him with flowers and blowing conch shells. The atmosphere turned festive as several women danced and raised slogans in support of the candidate.

Hemant Bag engaged with villagers during the visits, listening to their concerns and assuring them of development and resolution of local issues. A large number of people participated in the outreach programme.
