Education Minister Ashish Sood hailed Chief Minister Rekha Guptas presentation of the FY 2026-27 green budget in the Delhi Assembly Tuesday as a people-centric roadmap realizing citizens aspirations while advancing welfare economic and social sectors.
Sood called the Rs 103700 crore outlay more than numbers shaping power roads transport education health women child welfare with growth from Rs 76000 crore in FY25 under AAP to Rs 100000 crore FY26 and now Rs 103700 crore signaling relentless development.
Capex jumped from Rs 15089 crore FY25 to Rs 28115 crore FY26 and Rs 30800 crore this year fueling robust infrastructure long-term progress boosting growth to 8.53 percent in FY26 above national 7.4 percent average from 6.21 percent FY25 while per capita monthly income rose 7.09 percent to Rs 25453.

Initiatives include private play school sports academy policies 8777 smart classrooms Rs 150 crore scaling to 21000 Narela education hub Mundka sports university positioning youth as job creators via startup innovation ecosystem.
