Kolkata, March 23 (H.S.): In a move aimed at easing travel for commuters, Indian Railways has extended the routes of several local trains operating from Sealdah. The revised arrangement will remain in effect from March 23 to May 23.

Under the new changes, local trains on the Sealdah-Bangaon, Sealdah-Canning and Sealdah-Diamond Harbour routes will now run to extended destinations, reducing the need for passengers to change trains midway.

According to railway sources, in the Sealdah-Bangaon section, some trains that earlier terminated at Duttapukur or Gobardanga will now run up to Bangaon.
