RSS aims to reach unreached in coming years: Arun Kumar

Jammu, 23 March (H.S.): Emphasising that discrimination and social evils originate in the human mind rather than systems alone, Arun Kumar, Seh Sarkaryavah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), called for value-based social transformation through character building and collective strength.

He was addressing a large public gathering titled “Pramukh Jan Goshti” held in Reasi as part of the RSS centenary year celebrations. The event witnessed participation from social leaders, academicians, industrial representatives, and volunteers from across the district.

The programme commenced with floral tributes to Bharat Mata. Addressing the gathering, Arun Kumar recalled the glorious history of Bharat and highlighted how ancestors defended the civilisation against foreign invasions, preserving its cultural identity. He underscored the RSS’s century-long contribution to social upliftment through grassroots efforts such as daily shakhas, service activities, educational initiatives, and social reform programmes.

He noted that the RSS is often misunderstood when viewed superficially. The organisation is a broad social movement focused on nation building through individual transformation.

Reiterating the core objective of “Vyakti Nirman” (character building), he stressed that building strong individuals leads to a strong society and nation. He also said that the RSS does not compete with any organisation but works towards ensuring the safety, dignity, and unity of the nation.

Referring to India’s growing global role, he said the world is looking towards the country for leadership after a long historical journey, and called upon people to actively participate in nation-building efforts.
