
Srinagar, 23 March (H.S.): At least two shops were gutted in fire after fire broke out in a three-storey building in the main market of Baramulla in north Kashmir today.
The blaze erupts at around 9:45am in the busy main bazaar area, in a building housing a toy and gift shop among other establishments. Officials confirm that both shops are completely destroyed.
Fire and emergency services responded swiftly and brought the flames under control, preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent structures in the congested market.
A police officer said that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. “A case has been registered and an investigation has been initiated,” he said. However, police said, no casualties have been reported.Online News Portal
