Kolkata, 02 March (H.S.) :

A delegation from the Election Commission on Monday held a comprehensive review meeting in Kolkata to assess preparedness for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.

The meeting was attended by the Senior Deputy Election Commissioner, Deputy Election Commissioner, and other senior officials of the Commission. Through a series of video conferences, the delegation interacted with state police officials, administrative authorities, the Chief Electoral Officer, nodal officers of the state police, nodal officers of central armed police forces, and representatives of various enforcement agencies.

The review session was conducted at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer. Those present included Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Special Observer Subrata Gupta, Additional Chief Electoral Officers Divyendu Das and Arindam Niyogi, State Police Nodal Officer Anand Kumar, along with other senior officials.

The primary objective of the meeting was to evaluate election preparedness, security arrangements, and inter-agency coordination to ensure peaceful, transparent, and orderly polling across the state.
