March (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also highlighted the women's welfare
initiatives during a program held at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday to mark the
nine-year anniversary of his government. He stated that more than nine lakh
government recruitments were made in the state, including more than 1.75 lakh
women.
The Chief
Minister informed that more than 1.10 crore women of voluntary groups are
working as entrepreneurs in the state as Aajeevika Didi. In this year's budget,
separate provision of funds has been made under the Women Entrepreneur Scheme.
Prime Minister's Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Abhiyan, Chief Minister Kanya
Sumangala Yojana (from birth to graduation) package of Rs. 25,000, assistance
of Rs. one lakh for the marriage of a daughter is being given under the mass
marriage scheme. So far, five lakh daughters have been married under the Chief
Minister's mass marriage scheme.
Cabinet to
hike pension soon: Chief Minister Yogi also discussed the pension for destitute
women, the elderly, and the disabled. He stated that the state government
provides an annual pension of Rs. 12,000 to over 10.6 million families. The
cabinet will soon decide to increase this amount for their welfare. The
government will also provide scooters to meritorious graduate and postgraduate
students. The Mission Shakti program is also underway to ensure the safety, respect, and
self-reliance of girls. He stated that jobs, employment, and self-employment
are also being provided to talented youth in Uttar Pradesh. More than 30
million jobs have been created in MSMEs, and more than 6.5 million jobs have
been created through large investments. Under the Chief Minister's Youth
Entrepreneur Development Campaign, over 130,000 new entrepreneurs have been
created in Uttar Pradesh so far. The government will provide tablets to over 20
million youth. Of these, 50 lakh have already received tablets, and the
remaining will soon receive them.
