the occasion of BSP founder Kanshi Ram's birth anniversary, Uttar Pradesh Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath honuors him as a noteworthy leader and social
reformer, highlighting his commitment to the empowerment of underprivileged
populations. Yogi
Adityanath routinely utilizes X (previously Twitter) to pay modest honor to
Kanshi Ram, acknowledging his lifetime fight for the underprivileged. He was praised as a popular leader who worked
to improve the lives of Dalits, the poor, and the oppressed. Yogi recognizes his
contributions to social justice, including his work in raising political
consciousness among oppressed groups.
These
tributes demonstrate the BJP government's regard for Uttar Pradesh politicians
who advocated for social reform. The CM commended Kanshi Ram's important
contribution to the overall development of underserved populations.
Uttar
Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a post on X, mentioned, “My humble
tribute on the birth anniversary of Honourable Kanshi Ram ji, the pioneer of
social justice and founder of Bahujan Samaj Party, who dedicated his entire
life for the upliftment of Dalits, exploited and deprived.”
While
his birth anniversary is commemorated on March 15, prominent political parties
in Uttar Pradesh, including the BJP, SP, and Congress, frequently use the day
to engage the state's sizable Dalit vote bank, recognizing his legacy as a
crucial politician.
Kanshi Ram, also known as 'Manyavar,' is
regarded as having strengthened Dalit voices and established a strong political
foundation for Bahujans. Parties, like the Samajwadi Party, frequently honour
the day with ceremonies dedicated to his ideas. He created the Bahujan Samaj
Party (BSP) and was instrumental in transforming Uttar Pradesh's political
environment.
