UP CM hails Kanshi Ram as popular leader

Lucknow, 15

March (HS): On

the occasion of BSP founder Kanshi Ram's birth anniversary, Uttar Pradesh Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath honuors him as a noteworthy leader and social

reformer, highlighting his commitment to the empowerment of underprivileged

populations. Yogi

Adityanath routinely utilizes X (previously Twitter) to pay modest honor to

Kanshi Ram, acknowledging his lifetime fight for the underprivileged. He was praised as a popular leader who worked

to improve the lives of Dalits, the poor, and the oppressed. Yogi recognizes his

contributions to social justice, including his work in raising political

consciousness among oppressed groups.

These

tributes demonstrate the BJP government's regard for Uttar Pradesh politicians

who advocated for social reform. The CM commended Kanshi Ram's important

contribution to the overall development of underserved populations.

Uttar

Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a post on X, mentioned, “My humble

tribute on the birth anniversary of Honourable Kanshi Ram ji, the pioneer of

social justice and founder of Bahujan Samaj Party, who dedicated his entire

life for the upliftment of Dalits, exploited and deprived.”

While

his birth anniversary is commemorated on March 15, prominent political parties

in Uttar Pradesh, including the BJP, SP, and Congress, frequently use the day

to engage the state's sizable Dalit vote bank, recognizing his legacy as a

crucial politician.

Kanshi Ram, also known as 'Manyavar,' is

regarded as having strengthened Dalit voices and established a strong political

foundation for Bahujans. Parties, like the Samajwadi Party, frequently honour

the day with ceremonies dedicated to his ideas. He created the Bahujan Samaj

Party (BSP) and was instrumental in transforming Uttar Pradesh's political

environment.
