Kolkata, 15 March (H.S.): Mamata Banerjee on Sunday said employees and pensioners of the West Bengal government, along with teachers and non-teaching staff of educational institutions and other grant-in-aid bodies, will start receiving their ROPA 2009 DA arrears from March 2026.

In a post on X, the chief minister said her “Ma-Mati-Manush” government has fulfilled its promise to employees and pensioners as well as lakhs of teachers and non-teaching staff of educational institutions.

She said employees and pensioners of other grant-in-aid institutions, including panchayats, municipal bodies and other local bodies, will also benefit from the decision.

Banerjee added that the DA arrears under ROPA 2009 will be disbursed from March 2026 as per the modalities detailed in notifications issued by the state finance department.
