March (HS): On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy
Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, BSP Chief Mayawati,
and Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav paid honors to Kanshi Ram on his birth
day.
In a post
on X in Hindi, Adityanath stated, My humble tributes on the birth
anniversary of Manyavar Kanshi Ram ji, the pioneer of social justice and
founder of the Bahujan Samaj Party, who dedicated his entire life to the
upliftment of Dalits, the exploited, and the deprived.
Deputy
Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said in a post on X, A hundred
salutations to Kanshi Ram ji, a staunch champion of social justice, a powerful
voice for the rights of the deprived and exploited and founder of Bahujan Samaj
Party on his birth anniversary. His life of battle for equality, self-respect,
and social consciousness continues to encourage society to be alert in the
pursuit of justice and rights. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also paid
his respects to Kanshi Ram.
BSP head Mayawati, in an X post, said, On the
birth anniversary of the founder and architect of the BSP, revered Kanshi
Ramji, I along with his followers, under my leadership, offer humble
salutations and deepest tributes. We pay tribute to a man who committed
his whole life to the unrelenting and difficult battle of revitalizing the
philosophy and movement of Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, moving his caravan
ahead and leading it towards the ultimate aim of political power, she
added.
She
emphasized her desire to fully commit to the BSP's Social Transformation and
Economic Liberation struggle and to achieve electoral triumph. She gave clarion
call to members of Bahujan Samaj to join the BSP movement and become
dedicated, principled Ambedkarvadis. Secure the'master key' to political
power by using their votes. This will allow them to execute at the grassroots
level the rights provided in the Constitution by Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar
for the benefit, welfare, upliftment, protection, and self-respect of Bahujans,
Mayawati stated.
In its
post on X, the UP Congress stated, Jiski jitni sankhya bhaari, uski utni
hissedaari. Our greetings on the birth anniversary of Bahujan icon
'Saheb' Kanshi Ram ji. Fulfilling your ideal of oppressed and downtrodden
people becoming rulers will be our sincere honor to you. Jai Bhim! Jai Bharat.”
Akhilesh
Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party, shared an image of Kanshi Ram on his X
page, describing him as a champion of social progress. National head of the
Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) and Lok Sabha MP from Nagina Chandra Shekhar
Aazad praised Kanshi Ram for reawakening a sleeping community. In a post on X,
Aazad wrote, My humble salutations and respectful tribute to the bahujan
icon, Manyavar Sahib Kanshiram ji, on the occasion of his birth anniversary;
and sincere greetings and best wishes to you all on the Azad Samaj Party's 6th
Foundation Day (Kanshiram). Earlier this week, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi
stated that if Jawaharlal Nehru had been alive, Kanshi Ram would have been
appointed chief minister of the Congress.
