
Amravati, 14 Mar (HS): Indian Textile Ministry’s
Secretary Neelam Shami Rao visited PM Mitra Textile Park in Nandgaonpeth in
Amravati district. She expressed satisfaction over completion of the first
phase of the basic facilities in the Textile Park. MP Mitra Textile Parks are
being developed in seven states, Nandgaonpeth is one among them.
Maharashtra’s Industries Development Secretary Dr P
Anbalagan, Divisional Commissioner Shweta Singhal, District Collector Ashish
Yerekar, CEO of MIDC P Velarasu were present with Rao.
Joint CEO of MIDC Ajit Kumbhar made a presentation
on the progress of the ongoing work spread over 1,020 acres of land, depicting completion
of road connectivity, drainage and waste water treatment system, street lights,
water supply. Solar energy project is being developed over 100 acres of land. M/s
TTYM Management and BV, the Natherlands is establishing a research and
development centre over 66 acres of land. This is the first of its kind in
India.
Yerekar informed about the industrial development and
generation of employment opportunities in MIDC. Director of Textiles,
Government of India Anil Kumar, Joint Director Vinay Mishra and Nagpur’s
Textile Commissioner Sanjay Dene were also present on the occasion.
