Lucknow,

26 Feb (HS): On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tested

Japan's SC Maglev train in Yamanashi, reaching speeds of 501 km/h. CM Yogi characterized the journey as smooth

and steady, even at speeds of exceeding 500 km/h, emphasizing the train's

sophisticated magnetic levitation technology. The purpose of the tour was to

investigate sophisticated, high-speed, and environmentally friendly mobility

alternatives for Uttar Pradesh, as well as to promote collaboration between the

state and Japan's Yamanashi Prefecture. The SC Maglev train has low friction

and is a next-generation transportation technology built for efficiency and

speed. Following the ride, CM Yogi met with local authorities to discuss

economic and technical exchanges, emphasizing the need of ongoing cooperation

with Japan. SC Maglev trains can reach speeds of over 600 km/h, demonstrating

the future of high-speed rail.

In

a post on X, he mentioned, “You can see that I was travelling at 501 km/h. Experienced

Japan’s advanced SCMAGLEV train in Yamanashi, a next-generation high-speed

system that reaches speeds of up to 500 km/h and represents the future of

clean, efficient and precision mobility. The ride was smooth and remarkably

stable even at extraordinary speed, reflecting Japan’s commitment to innovation

and long-term infrastructure excellence. When technology moves at this speed,

the future feels closer than ever,”
