Nagpur, 23 Feb

(HS): An engineering student from a small village Warthi in Mohadi Tehsil of

Bhandara district, Mayuri Harishchandra Chaudhari, drowned into the sea at

beach in Chennai. Mayuri was in IT Company Cognizant for an internship.

She along with her

friends in the same company were strolling near the Golden beach as Saturday was

a holiday for them. Three internes were flows away by a strong wave, of which

one succeeded to come out.

The rescue team

immediately started working, but could not save Mayuri. Another student Jay Narendra

Patil (21) from Paldhi village in Jamner Tesil of Jalgaon district was reported

missing. Another student Rak Kedari was safely rescued.

A group of students,

who had completed BE final examinations had joined Congizant in Chennai for

internship on February 5.

The relatives,

after receiving the information about the unfortunate incident, rushed to

Chennai.

Maharashtra CM: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis received

information from Tamil Nadu Government. He has requested the government

officials to cooperate with the families of the deceased students and those who

are in shock due to the incident.
