Chennai, 23 February (H.S.) : Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) founder-president Vijay escalated his political offensive against Chief Minister MK Stalin during a massive rally in Vellore today, alleging that the DMK leader's real friends are bribery and corruption.

Addressing a sea of supporters near the Chennai-Bengaluru Highway, the actor-politician threw a direct challenge to the Chief Minister, daring him to publicly declare the assets he owned before entering politics compared to his current financial status.

Vijay questioned whether the amassed wealth was hard-earned or acquired through the misuse of power, asserting that he is not afraid of mud-slinging by opponents because the people of Tamil Nadu understand his intentions.

The TVK leader dismissed the DMK's governance as an Ulta model and mocked the ruling party's claim of making Tamil Nadu a superstar state, suggesting instead that it has become a super-standup comedian-run state. He contrasted the current administration with the iconic eras of K. Kamaraj, C.N.

Annadurai, and M.G. Ramachandran. Vijay also addressed Stalin’s recent claim of having no enemies in politics, questioning why the government denied permissions for TVK events and blamed his party for the tragic Karur stampede if they were truly friends. He reiterated that the 2026 Assembly election is a direct war between himself and Stalin, labeling the TVK a pure force against the evil force of the DMK.

As part of the latest updates from the ground, Vijay administered a solemn pledge to his party workers, promising that their votes would remain loyal to the whistle symbol and that the party would never deviate from its commitment to secularism and social justice.

He expressed confidence in a huge win and promised to personally visit every village in the state once he forms the government. While the DMK points to an 11.19 percent economic growth rate as proof of success, Vijay maintained that the battle is actually between the citizens and systemic corruption.

The rally has significantly intensified the political atmosphere in Chennai and across the state as the countdown to the April elections begins.
