23 Feb (HS): A 55-year-old Dalit man discovered dead in Muzaffarnagar's Morna
village with knife wounds to his neck was murdered by his daughters, who were
enraged by the limitations he put on them, police said on Monday. The victim,
Ram Persad, was assaulted in his sleep with a sharp instrument by his
daughters, aged 32 and 16, according to Station House Officer Jasvir Singh, who
also stated that the body had been submitted for a post-mortem test. According
to authorities, the father and daughters exchanged sharp words right before he
fell asleep. According to authorities, the girls confessed to killing their
father because they were upset by the frequent limitations he put on them and
how he blocked them in everything.
Komal,
the older daughter, was arrested, while the younger, a juvenile, was detained.
The weapon used in the murder, as well as the man's blood-stained clothes, were
taken from the residence. According to Additional SP (Rural) Aditya Bansal, a
murder case has been lodged.A thorough examination is underway.
