Kolkata, 05 January (H.S.): The Trinamool Congress launched a scathing attack on BJP MP Manoj Tigga on Monday through a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). The party alleged that having failed to stand with the people and deliver on development projects, Manoj Tigga is now resorting to spreading falsehoods.
The post stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee, the Maa-Mati-Manush government has brought about real change across North Bengal, including Alipurduar.
The Trinamool Congress claimed that numerous welfare schemes, from crèches (childcare centers) to student bus services, have been implemented on the ground. Furthermore, the increase in tea garden workers' wages from ₹67 to ₹250 is cited as proof of the government's achievements.
The post quoted Trinamool Congress MP Prakash Chik Baraik as saying that in the upcoming elections, the people will once again place their trust in the Trinamool Congress, and the BJP will face defeat.
