Chennai, 19 January (H.S.) : The highly anticipated grand finale of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 concluded on Sunday with wild card entrant Divya Ganesh emerging as the winner. The actress, widely recognized for her popular role in the Tamil television serial Baakiyalakshmi, was awarded the prestigious trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh.

Hosted by acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi, the finale saw intense competition among the top finalists, with actor Sabarinath and YouTuber Vikkals Vikram securing the second and third positions respectively. Despite entering the house as a wild card contestant later in the season, Ganesh quickly resonated with the audience through her calm demeanor, sharp wit, and effective decision-making skills.

During the concluding ceremony, the winner was also presented with a Maruti Suzuki Victoris car as part of her victory rewards. Host Vijay Sethupathi became noticeably emotional during the final moments and gifted all the finalists a miniature replica of the Bigg Boss house as a gesture of appreciation.

The ninth season of the reality show originally commenced in October last year with a total of 20 contestants. The competition eventually narrowed down to four finalists, including Aurora Sinclair alongside the top three.

Divya Ganesh, who has also been a prominent face in the Telugu television industry through serials like Bhagyarekha, expressed her gratitude for the public support that led to her historic win as a wild card entrant.
