New Delhi, 19 January (H.S.): A bench presided over by Chief Justice Suryakant refused to entertain a public interest litigation seeking to prescribe judicial reforms through court-mandated suggestions on Monday.During the hearing, the petitioner argued in Hindi.

Responding in Hindi, the Chief Justice explained, If you seek changes in the country and judiciary, no need for a PIL. Simply write me a letter. You're demanding every case be disposed within time limits, but investigation agencies also play a role. Police and court functions differ—we cannot summon SHOs daily for investigation updates. You demand every court deliver judgments within one year—do you realize how many courts that would require?

The court dismissed the petition as publicity interest litigation, cautioning, Don't file petitions for cameramen waiting on the lawn. Have suggestions? Write me a letter.
