(HS): In a surprise move BJP MLC Sandip Joshi has announced retirement from
active politics at the age of 55.
In a letter
posted on Facebook, Sandip Joshi has mentioned that he is disturbed with the
workers changing parties for political gains, party workers rejected the party
tickets and growing competition among workers to gain power, has disturbed him.
Given the present situation he has decided to stop here.
Being nominated
as MLC by Bharatiya Janata Party and his terms ends on 13th May
2026, he will continue to function as MLC. He is not leaving the party, but
active politics. Henceforth he will not seek any position in the party, but is
vacating the position for the young generation.
Joshi, who was
the Mayor of Nagpur Municipal Corporation lost his first election from the
graduates’ constituency and was later nominated as MLC by BJP. He son of Ex-MLC
late Diwakarrao Joshi elected from Teacher’s Constituency, who was known for
his dedicated work and honesty.
As an RSS
volunteer Sandip Joshi has announced that he will continue to work for various
social projects started with his initiative.
