
Prayagraj,
14 Jan (HS): Taking a significant step in the field of healthcare, a
state-of-the-art Blood Bank was inaugurated at the Cantonment Board Hospital,
Prayagraj. The objective of this initiative is to provide round-the-clock
(24×7) blood services to residents of the region and to strengthen emergency
medical care facilities. The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Cabinet
Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Nand Gopal Gupta (Nandi Ji). The event
was held in the august presence of Brigadier Navneet Dagar (Sena Medal),
President, Cantonment Board and Station Commander, Sub Area Prayagraj (Uttar
Pradesh), covering East Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
The
distinguished guests included Mohammad Sameer Islam, Chief Executive Officer,
Cantonment Board Prayagraj, and Vinod Kumar Valmiki, Nominated Member,
Prayagraj. aThe
programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief
Guest. In his address, Nand Gopal Gupta appreciated the efforts of the
Cantonment Board and stated that this Blood Bank would prove to be a boon for
the people of the region, ensuring timely and safe availability of blood.
On
this occasion, Brigadier Navneet Dagar, President, Cantonment Board; Mohammad
Sameer Islam, Chief Executive Officer, Cantonment Board; Vinod Valmiki,
Nominated Member, Cantonment Board Prayagraj; Pal Shukla, Director, Blood Bank;
Dr. Siddharth Pandey, Director, Cantonment Board Hospital; Dr. Piyush Pani
Shukla, Medical Officer In-Charge, along with the entire Blood Bank team and
several other dignitaries, were present. The
programme was conducted by Rekha Mishra, Assistant Teacher, Cantonment High
School.
