New Delhi, 14 January (H.S.): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta dedicated 81 new Ayushman Arogyya Mandirs to the residents of Delhi during a program at Gram Nangal Raya here on Wednesday, coinciding with Makar Sankranti. With the launch of these new centers, the total number of operational Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in Delhi has now risen to 319.

The Chief Minister conducted a detailed inspection of the various health facilities available at the local Ayushman Arogya Mandir. She examined the OPD room, laboratory, medicine distribution counter, vaccination unit, and mother-child care centers, gathering information on the quality and functioning of the arrangements.

Interacting with the on-site nurses, doctors, and paramedical staff, she obtained feedback on their work experiences and the services provided to patients.

The Chief Minister also reviewed the health records system. She thoroughly understood the processes for patient registration, medical records, and data management, issuing directives to officials to ensure the records system remains fully transparent, accurate, and user-friendly. Hari Nagar MLA Shyam Sharma, among other individuals, was present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister stated that dedicating 81 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs to the people of Delhi on the festivals of Makar Sankranti and Lohri is a matter of special satisfaction for the government. During the tenures of previous governments, neglect of health infrastructure left many hospital projects pending for years.

The current government is now completing all such unfinished projects with transparency and adherence to due processes.She added that the Central Government is continuously providing assistance for the expansion of Delhi's health infrastructure.

Under this support, new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, laboratories, and health infrastructure are being developed. In the past 11 months, the Delhi government has accomplished essential tasks such as establishing 319 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Jan Aushadhi Kendras, new blocks in five major hospitals, installation of new dialysis machines, and digitalization of all government hospitals.

Today, patients at Delhi's government hospitals can obtain OPD appointments and medical records via mobile phones, ensuring transparency and convenience in health services.She further noted that over 600,000 citizens in Delhi have been registered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, with thousands of families already benefiting from free treatment.

The income limit for EWS category treatment has been raised from ₹2.5 lakh to ₹5 lakh.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this expansion of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will reduce pressure on larger hospitals and provide accessible, free, and dignified primary health services near citizens' homes. Building a developed Delhi in alignment with the vision of a developed India is the government's firm resolve.

According to the government, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs offer services including doctors and experienced nursing staff, nearly 80 types of diagnostic tests, free distribution of essential medicines, mother-child health services, vaccination and growth monitoring, mental health services, nutrition counseling, and day-care treatment.
