Srinagar, 9 August (H.S.): Pending inquiry into his conduct, Peer Altaf Ahmad, Naib Tehsildar Tral has been placed under suspension with immediate effect.

According to an order in this regard, Peer has been attached with the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora, who shall inquire into the matter and submit detailed report alongwith recommendations.

Tehsildar Tral shall be presenting officer and shall assist Addl DC Awantipora in conducting the inquiry.
