Bhubaneswar, 9 August (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi participated in a Raksha Bandhan celebration at Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir in Arabinda Nagar, Jeypore, where schoolgirls tied rakhis on his wrist. The event was graced by senior dignitaries including Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, Ministers Nityanand Gand and Gokulanand Mallick, along with MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Majhi underscored the significance of the Raksha Bandhan programme, describing it as a unique initiative. He highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to build a prosperous Odisha that will contribute to the vision of a developed India. Furthermore, he emphasized the administration’s focus on addressing the needs of four key sections of society and expanding outreach efforts, particularly in southern Odisha.
