Guwahati, 09 August (HS): Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Quit India Movement of 1942 was a significant chapter in India’s freedom struggle. Brave Indians fought against British rule, showcasing their patriotism and the movement had a deep impact on Assam as well.
On the occasion of Quit India Movement Day, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the great patriots and sons of Mother India who sacrificed everything to liberate the country. He said that their immortal tales of courage and self-sacrifice will always be remembered.
