Hojai (Assam), 06 August (HS): A major road accident occurred at Hojai Old Market when a four-wheeler (registration number AS-02G-1455) lost control and rammed into an electricity pole. The driver, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, caused the crash that left a local resident, Bishal Goharoy, with minor injuries.

Police rushed to the scene upon receiving information and recovered the damaged vehicle. However, taking advantage of the chaos, the injured driver managed to flee before he could be apprehended. Authorities have launched a search to trace the absconding individual.
