Public darbar witnessed the participation of numerous deputations and individuals from various localities of Jammu city as well as surrounding areas, who turned up with their grievances relating to essential services and infrastructure gaps.

During the darbar, people raised issues such as irregular water supply, erratic electricity cuts, and the waterlogged and damaged condition of inner roads and lanes across several municipal wards due to consistent rains. Sanitation also emerged as a major concern, with many complaining about delayed garbage collection and the urgent need for enhanced cleanliness measures. Some deputations highlighted the need of proper street lighting in neglected pockets and repair in other areas.

A deputation also raised issue of extremely slow pace in the ongoing repair work on Fly-over from Tawi bridge towards BC Road and raised apprehension that it can turn out to be a cause of some major accident.

While stressing on the need to provide an appropriate platform to the public, where they could present their issues, Yudhvir Sethi emphasized that the BJP is committed to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and public darbars are an extension of that vision. “We are not here just to hear grievances, but to ensure that every legitimate concern is taken up with urgency. Our aim is to make governance more responsive and accessible,” he said.

Surinder Bhagat reiterated his commitment to public service and said that such initiatives allow elected representatives to stay connected with ground realities. “We take every concern seriously and are personally following up on each matter raised today. This darbar reflects our accountability towards the people who have placed their trust in us,” he added.
