Bhubaneswar, 5 August (H.S.)Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday marked the sixth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A by expressing his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their courageous and historic leadership.

In a post shared on social media, Pradhan wrote: On August 5, 2019, under the bold leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India took a historic step by abrogating Articles 370 and 35A from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This was a significant move towards fulfilling the dreams of millions of Indians, including Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

The Minister highlighted that the decision ensured equal rights for the people of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, while also accelerating the development of infrastructure, education, healthcare, and employment opportunities in the region.

He further emphasized that the abrogation of these constitutional provisions has strengthened the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” and heralded a new era of growth and integration for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
