Bhubaneswar, 5 August (H.S.): Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed profound grief over the tragic cloudburst in Uttarkashi, which caused widespread devastation in Dharali village, claiming several lives and leaving many missing.
In a message shared on social media, Shri Patnaik said he was deeply anguished by the scale of the disaster, which has brought immense suffering to the affected families and communities. Extending his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, he said, My thoughts are with all those enduring this unimaginable tragedy.
He also offered prayers to Lord Jagannath to grant strength, solace, and protection to all those impacted by the natural calamity.
Commending the ongoing relief and rescue operations, Patnaik said, I salute the tireless efforts of the rescue teams who are bravely working to save lives amidst these challenging conditions.
