(HS): Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath said that the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme has become
a model in the country today. Yogi appealed to the people and said that
adopting Swadeshi is the biggest need of all of us today. If our own money goes
to our own artisans and handicraftsmen, it will become the basis of development
and prosperity. It will play a decisive role in increasing the per capita
income. CM Yogi was addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying
program of 186 development projects worth 958 crores in a grand ceremony
organized at the Numaish Ground in Aligarh on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Yogi said
that if our money goes into foreign hands, it will be used against India for
terrorism, conversion, explosions and to destabilize India. Yogi appealed to
the people to gift indigenous products to their relatives on all the upcoming
festivals.
At the ceremony, the Chief
Minister distributed certificates, assistance money, tablets, house keys and
Ayushman cards to the beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes. He
visited the exhibition of local products and pampered the children dressed as
Lord Krishna and presented them chocolates, butter and toys.
Aligarh gets gift of
development projects worth more than Rs. 957 crores: Chief Minister Yogi, while
gifting projects worth more than Rs. 957 crores to Aligarh, said that this gift
of development is dedicated to Aligarh just before Rakshabandhan. These
projects include drinking water restructuring scheme, forensic science
laboratory, widening and beautification of Atrauli to railway station road, Degree
College in Atrauli and inauguration of a reservoir of 900 kilolitre capacity.
Apart from this, the foundation stone of many other projects was laid, which
will take Aligarh to new heights. Yogi said that these projects will give a new
identity to Aligarh and will give impetus to the local economy.
Kalyan Singh gave national
recognition to Aligarh: Addressing the public meeting, Chief Minister Yogi
underlined the historical and cultural heritage of Aligarh. He said that former
Chief Minister Kalyan Singh gave national recognition to Aligarh. Realizing his
dreams, we are giving new heights to the lock industry through ODOP. Referring
to Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University, he said that this university will
soon make Aligarh a new center of higher education, which will keep the
memories of the freedom struggle alive as well as provide a bright future to
the youth.
Brahmos missile is capable
of answering every enemy of India: Chief Minister -- Yogi said that the Defense
Corridor started in 2018 is today producing advanced weapons like Brahmos
missile. This missile is unique in the world and is capable of answering every
enemy of India. Referring to Operation Sindoor, he praised India's military
power and self-reliance. The Chief Minister said that Aligarh is also making
its mark in the drone and hardware industry, which is providing employment and
prosperity to local artisans.
Emphasizing on the Swachhta
Abhiyan, the Chief Minister said that everyone should make cleanliness a part
of their life. He said that cleanliness is our national duty. He said that
before 2017, Aligarh and Uttar Pradesh were struggling with riots and anarchy.
Today, due to better law and order, new possibilities of investment and
development are opening up. In the recent recruitment of 60,244 policemen,
1,344 youths from Aligarh were selected, which he described as a proud moment
for the local families. He said that in the future we are going to make 30
thousand more recruitment in UP Police. He said that before 2017, government
jobs were the monopoly of some families, but now selection is being done on the
basis of merit.
Expressing enthusiasm for
Rakshabandhan and Janmashtami, the CM said that to promote local products,
everyone should gift indigenous products to their relatives. Along with this,
Yogi said that the government is providing free bus travel facility for women
from 8 to 10 August. During this, Minister of State for Basic Education Sandeep
Singh, MP Satish Gautam, Anoop Pradhan, District Panchayat President Vijay
Singh, Mayor Prashant Singhal, MLA Thakur Jaiveer Singh, Anil Parashar,
Rawendra Pal Singh, Rajkumar Sahayogi, Mukta Sanjeev Raja, Surendra Diler,
Anjula Singh, Birendra Singh, Pradeep Singh, Satyapal Singh Rathore, Sanjeev
Kumar Diwakar, Virendra Singh Lodhi, Vipin Kumar Verma and many dignitaries
were present.
