Moradabad, 30 Aug (HS): After divorcing his wife after

ten years of marriage, the husband ran away after cutting her nose on Saturday

morning. The mother present at home admitted the injured daughter to the district

hospital for treatment, where the doctor referred her to a higher center due to

her critical condition. This was the second marriage of the injured girl ten

years ago. After marriage, she was living in Mainather of Thana Majhola area.

Rabia lives with her husband Chand in Mainather of Thana

Majhola area of Moradabad. Rabia is a resident of Kundarki. Rabia's first

marriage was in Chandausi of Sambhal district. After a few years, her husband

divorced her. Her in-laws bought a house for Rabia in Mainather when she got

separated from her husband. Since then, Chand started visiting Rabia's house.

After some time, Rabia and Chand got married and now they have a daughter.

Rabia's mother Chand Bi said that after a few years of

marriage, Chand started beating daughter Rabia. Last Friday, he brought petrol

in a bottle and sprayed it all over the house; he pulled out the pipe from the

gas cylinder and tried to set it on fire. Somehow he was pacified by explaining

things to her. He divorced her daughter. “This morning the daughter started

crying loudly at the door. When I ran to the door, the daughter was lying on

the floor soaked in blood. The son-in-law had cut the daughter's nose and lips.

When I shouted, he ran out of the house. With the help of the people in the

neighborhood, the daughter was admitted to the district hospital. Since her

condition was serious, she has been referred to Meerut Higher Center,” Rabia's

mother Chand Bi told reporters. In this case, Majhola Police Station Inspector

Ravindra Kumar said that no complaint has been received from the injured Rabia

yet. Action will be taken in the case after receiving the complaint.
