Varanasi, 30 Aug (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath met flood-affected families during his two-day visit
to Varanasi. During this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the Uttar
Pradesh government stands with the flood-affected families. The state government
is providing all possible help to the flood-affected families in Varanasi and
Ghazipur. Wherever there is a flood situation in the state, the government is
providing help there. The state government has made arrangements for
accommodation, food items and other essential items in the relief camps. Reaching
the flood relief camp set up at JP Mehta College in Varanasi, Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath also met the flood-affected families and fed chocolates to the
small children he met there. Pointing towards the Divisional Commissioner and
District Magistrate, the Chief Minister instructed that there should be no
negligence in the supply of essential commodities.
On Saturday, the
Chief Minister conducted an aerial survey to see the flood situation in Ghazipur
area and gave clear instructions to the officials that full care should be
taken of the farmers of the flood-affected area. Officials should make
administrative preparations on their part to deal with the flood situation.

The Chief Minister
maintained distance from the public representatives: Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath maintained a distance from the local public representatives while
meeting the flood-affected families and inspecting the flood area. The Chief
Minister did not talk much to the public representatives even during the review
meeting in the first day's program. To listen to the public problems of
Varanasi, the Chief Minister himself conducted the Janata Darshan program for
the first time in Varanasi.
