Rio de Janeiro, August 2 (H.S.): David Luiz has parted ways with Fortaleza after a seven-month contract, mutually terminated by both parties. The 38-year-old defender said goodbye to teammates on Friday. He is reportedly set to join Pafos FC in Cyprus with a three-year agreement.
During his brief stint at Fortaleza, Luiz played 16 matches since joining in January on a free transfer, with an original contract running until December 2026. He has also represented Brazil in 57 matches and played for clubs like Chelsea and PSG.
