Ramban, 13 August (H.S.): Twelve tourists here today sustained injuries after a vehicle they were onboard skidded off the road and overturned into a big roadside drain in Dalwass area of Chanderkote on National Highway 44.
Sources informed that the ill fated vehicle of Tempo Traveller make bearing registration number JK14K-9538 was on its way to Kashmir from Jammu.
Immediately after the accident locals along with cops started a rescue operation and shifted all the injured to District Hospital (DH) Ramban for treatment.
Medical Superintendent at DH Ramban, Sudershan Singh Katoch said the injured were responding to the treatment.
An injured Naresh Gupta informed that they were heading towards Kashmir after paying obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra.
Police has registered a case in this regard at Police Station Chanderkote and started investigation.
