Guwahati, 14 August (HS): In view of the upcoming 79th Independence Day celebrations, extensive preparations are underway across Assam, including the state capital Guwahati. To ensure robust security, police have launched intensive search operations in various parts of the city.

As part of this exercise, a special drive was conducted in the Maligaon area, where police checked suspicious individuals and implemented additional security measures at key locations. All departments are working in coordination to ensure peaceful and secure celebrations of Independence Day.
