Bhubaneswar, 13 August (H.S.): The special investigation team has identified and detained a suspect responsible for writing the threatening message on the walls of the Heritage Corridor near the Puri Srimandir. The Singhadwara police are currently conducting a detailed inquiry into the matter.

According to official sources, the detained individual is a 65-year-old man who has been found to be mentally unstable. The man has confessed to writing the message on the walls of the Parikrama Prakalpa.

Police are investigating the motive behind the act. It has been reported that the suspect, who has a history of mental health issues and family problems, had engaged in similar activities in the past.

Following his detention , the police took the suspect to the Budhi Maa Thakurani Temple within the Heritage Corridor for a scene recreation. After completing the exercise, authorities have confirmed that the threat message has been addressed and cleared.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to examine all aspects of the case.
