Nagon (Assam), 13 August (HS): In a early hours police operation in the Udmari area of Juriya, a notorious woman drug peddler was arrested along with illegal substances on Wednesday. The raid, led by the officer in charge of Juriya Police Station, resulted in the seizure of 119 grams of illegal drugs from the accused, identified as Asma Khatun.

Asma Khatun, long infamous for supplying drugs and influencing the local youth negatively, has been a known figure in the area’s drug network. Local residents have demanded exemplary punishment for her to curb the growing drug menace in the region.
