Nagpur, 13 Aug
(HS): The Maharashtra Government has signed an MoU (memorandum of
Understanding) with Manipal Hospitals, headquartered in Bengaluru, to build a
350-bed multi-speciality hospital in Nagpur.
The proposed
hospital to be built with an investment of Rs 700 crore is expected to start
functioning in 2029. The state-of-the-art hospital will be a significant landmark
for health care development, providing high-quality medical services to the
people in Nagpur and the region.
The MoU was
signed in Mumbai, with the Maharashtra Government assuring to facilitate all
permits and approvals necessary to complete the project within the scheduled
period.
The Managing
Director and CEO of Manipal Hospitals, Dilip Jose thanked the Maharashtra
Government for its support and for entrusting them to offer an opportunity to
serve the people of Maharashtra.
The new hospital
in Nagpur will offer an extensive range of specialised departments like
cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, oncology etc.
Manipal
Hospitals has a network of 38 hospitals in 19 cities across India.
