Chennai, 13 August (H.S.): The DMK President and Chief Minister, MK Stalin, will chair a crucial meeting at Kalaignar Arangam, Anna Arivalayam, Chennai, to review the party's ongoing Oraniyil Tamil Nadu membership drive. The meeting aims to assess membership figures, review booth-level preparedness, and discuss strategies to integrate new recruits into the party's poll machinery ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
The Oraniyil Tamil Nadu campaign has been actively enrolling new members across the state, with an initial target of enrolling 30% of each booth's voter base later increased to 40%. Although the membership drive is set to end on August 15, party sources suggest it may be extended to maximize recruitment before the elections.
Through the Udhanpirappae Vaa outreach program, CM Stalin has been visiting constituencies to meet party executives and strengthen grassroots coordination. The meeting will focus on reviewing the progress of the membership drive, finalizing election strategies, and strengthening booth-level preparedness.
A strong and expanded membership base is believed to be crucial to the DMK's electoral strategy, and the party is determined to leave no organizational gaps as it prepares for the intense and closely contested Assembly election battle.
