Bhubaneswar, 13 August (H.S.): Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi today inaugurated the simplified guidelines for the ‘MLA Local Area Development (LAD)’ and ‘CM Special Area (SA)’ schemes at Lokseva Bhavan. Alongside this, he also launched the MLA LAD Web Portal (https://mlalads.odisha.gov.in) in the presence of cabinet colleagues.

Under the Chief Minister’s direction, the MLA Local Area Development Scheme guidelines have been simplified to ensure greater transparency and ease of administration. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the revised guidelines are clean, straightforward, and time-efficient.

He emphasized that the new guidelines will streamline administrative processes and facilitate speedy and transparent execution of essential and smaller infrastructure projects that directly benefit the public.

The updated guidelines focus on prioritizing necessary projects while phasing out redundant ones. Furthermore, a strict timeline of 30 days has been set for completing the approval process from project recommendation to issuance of the work order. Similarly, the CM-SA scheme guidelines have also been simplified to accelerate project implementation.

Through the newly launched web portal, MLAs will be able to monitor the real-time status of all projects they have recommended within their constituencies. The portal will also provide the public with comprehensive information related to ongoing and upcoming projects.
