Mahad, 13 Aug (HS): Despite efforts to regulate the movement of heavy vehicles on the Mumbai-Goa Highway to control the increasing

number of accidents, another accident occurred, taking the life of a lady doctor on

Tuesday. The accident occurred near Lakh Pale near Mahad.

The VagonR (MH 14 MC 9859) in which two doctors were

travelling hit a good carrier truck (MH 43 MC 6056), causing serious head injuries

to Dr Pallavi Palshikar (35), a resident of Latur. Dr Palshikar dies on the

spot following excessive bleeding. Dr Vishal Ramesh Bade (30), a resident of

Anpatwadi in Patoda Tehsil of Beed district, suffered serious injuries. Dr Bade has

been rushed to a hospital in Mahad.

The Highway Police rushed to the accident site upon receiving information and assisted in transferring Dr. Bade to a hospital. Further

investigation into the accident was initiated.
