Azamgarh,
9 July (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath planted saplings on the theme 'Ek
Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0' under the 'Paudhaaropan Mahabhiyan' on Wednesday along the
Purvanchal Expressway in Kerma Gram Panchayat of Sathiyawan Vikas Khand of the
district. Addressing the public meeting organized during this, CM Yogi targeted
the opposition and said that you sent big people from here after making them
win the elections, who only developed their families. They have worked to
divide the country in the name of language and caste.
CM
said that when I am talking about this huge campaign, I am happy to tell that
there was heavy rain in Ayodhya and its surrounding districts. Despite all
this, the target of tree plantation is being accomplished in Uttar Pradesh. CM
Yogi called it a symbol of gratitude towards Mother Earth and the mother who
gave birth. Referring to the Vedic proclamation 'Mata Bhoomi: Putroham
Prithviyah', he said that a true son is the one who serves and protects his
mother. So far more than 22 crore saplings have been planted in Uttar Pradesh
in the name of a tree mother. CM said that this earth is our mother, we are its
sons. He said that if Mother Earth is healthy, then we are all healthy, if
Mother Earth is sick, then we are all sick.
CM
Yogi said that before 2017, there was only 9% forest cover in Uttar Pradesh,
which has increased to 10% today, and if we keep planting 35 to 37 crore
saplings every year, then a time will come when our forest cover will be as
much as the population living in the state. CM said that this is a massive
campaign to turn heat wave into green wave. This is a program to keep the
memories of mother alive.
The
CM said that when we held a meeting of the Forest Department in the year 2017,
there were not even 5 crore nurseries. But today we have 52 crore nurseries
including various departments and private sector, which includes nurseries of
various types of fruit and medicinal trees. The 15 lakh poor people who have
been given housing under PM Awas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana and Zero
Poverty, have started planting a drumstick plant at their house. The drumstick
plant is a storehouse of protein and vitamins. Its leaves and fruits are also
nutritious. The Chief Minister said that we have taken this journey from 5
crore to 52 crore forward. This journey is not only of plantation but also of
development. Uttar Pradesh is also developing in this form.
The
CM said that 11 years ago, the Prime Minister had launched various campaigns to
ensure the health of Mother Earth in the course of this campaign. The Chief
Minister said that the program of providing LPG cylinders is an effort to
reduce carbon and emissions. The program of extensive tree plantation on the
Greenfield Expressway and on it is a program to give a new impetus to the
development programs being done by UPID. CM Yogi said that the people present
here in large numbers should take one plant each from the Forest Department and
plant it. A farmer plants a tree related to timber on the boundary of his field
and if he has registered, then it is continuously monitored for 5 years. If the
tree has attained a certain height, then that family receives 5 to 6 dollars
per tree for 5 years. That is, the tree is yours, the dollar is also yours and
if you sell that tree later, then that profit will also be yours. CM Yogi said
that every section of the society is joining this campaign and taking this
campaign to new heights of success. Today, Uttar Pradesh will set a new record
of planting 37 crore saplings within 12 hours.
CM
thanked Azamgarh district administration and said that they have taken up the
task of reviving Tamsa river. Through the people's representatives and
dignitaries of the society, they have taken the responsibility of this program
in their hands. Tamsa river has its own mythological importance, this campaign
to preserve its heritage along with mythology is ours, and this campaign of
linking the revival of that river with the plantation program is commendable.
CM said that 60 lakh saplings are being planted today in Azamgarh district
alone. After the public meeting, I myself am going to plant the 60 lakhth
sapling. It shows that our campaign is not only to show the present but also to
save the future. The way Uttar Pradesh has progressed on the path of development
today, with that speed Uttar Pradesh can also advance its environment and
forest cover. As per the hopes and aspirations of the common people, Prime
Minister Modi's vision of Uttar Pradesh as the best state in the country is
also a feeling of gratitude towards his heritage, development, environmental
protection, Mother Earth and our mother. With this feeling, we will work to
take the campaign to new heights of success.
Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath said that when MP Nirhua wins the election from here,
Azamgarh gets an expressway, Maharaja Suheldev University, music college and a
network of roads all around. Attacking the Samajwadi Party, CM Yogi said that
this double engine government believes in development and not division. The
people who do the division are those who have done development of the family.
But they have also committed the sin of dividing in the name of caste, region
and language.
Chief
Minister Yogi said that you must be aware of the kind of people these people
kept. The people of Azamgarh and the state were facing an identity crisis. The
youth here were in need of identity and were insulted. Today, when a youth from
Uttar Pradesh goes anywhere in the country, the onlooker's face lights up. This
is the perception of Uttar Pradesh today. The CM said that you must have seen
how action is being taken against people involved in anti-social and
anti-national activities. Yesterday in Balrampur, you must have seen that we
have arrested an executioner. How he used to play with the honor of Hindu
sisters and daughters there, used to bargain for money, but you are being
strict with such elements. We will not let the society break. We will crush
anti-national and anti-social elements. We will also protect the health of
Mother Earth and keep the memories of Mother alive.
