Delhi, 26 July (H.S.): The Ministry of Coal organized a training workshop on the Exploration Module of the Single Window Clearance System (SWCS) on July 25 at SCOPE Complex, New Delhi. The initiative aims to enhance stakeholders' understanding of the module's functionalities to promote efficient handling of exploration submissions and approvals. Ms. Rupinder Brar, Additional Secretary, chaired the event, underscoring the importance of digital platforms for streamlined approval processes, transparency, and accountability.
The workshop included technical briefings from senior ministry officials to address participants' queries about the module. In collaboration with CMPDIL, a detailed demonstration of the Exploration Module showcased the digital workflow for submission, evaluation, and approval of exploration documents, such as Geological Reports and compliance filings. This comprehensive walkthrough clarified the module's functionalities and emphasized its role in digitizing exploration approvals.
Launched on July 4 the Exploration Module marks a significant advancement in the Ministry's digital governance by replacing manual processes with a fully digital system, facilitating real-time tracking and automated communication to minimize delays. Participants, including coal block allottees and accredited exploration agencies, appreciated the module's user-friendly interface and simplified clearances. The interactive format encouraged open dialogue, enabling stakeholders to discuss implementation concerns directly with ministry officials and CMPDIL experts.
The Exploration Module is part of the broader SWCS, operational since January 11, 2021, which provides a digital gateway for various statutory clearances. It integrates with the National Single Window System (NSWS) and aligns with PARIVESH 2.0 for better inter-ministerial coordination. The Ministry of Coal is dedicated to fostering a transparent and tech-driven governance ecosystem and encourages stakeholders to adopt digital systems like the SWCS to support sustainable growth in alignment with Viksit Bharat and Digital India initiatives.
