Delhi, 25 July (H.S.): The roof of a primary school in Piploadi village, Jhalawar, Rajasthan, collapsed on July 25, trapping around 18 children under the debris. Rescue efforts led by local villagers and Dangipura police have retrieved several children, who are now receiving treatment at Manohar government hospital.
Preliminary reports indicate four fatalities, though this has not been confirmed. The scene is heavily attended by police, medical teams, and officials, with ongoing concerns about more potential victims. The school had been in poor condition for an extended period, yet classes continued as usual. Dr. Kaushal Lodha stated that 35 injured children were admitted, with 11 in serious condition sent to the district hospital.
